bunko night
tonight is bunko night for the adults.
a classic tradition at the Blankenships.
we eat, play, and, of course, there is a
christmas story. this is no classic Christmas party.
I'd say it is a little bit more on the wild side.
merry christmas!!!

HIS BLESSINGS
i am so glad that God is bring so many laborers
back to the harvest. he has richly blessed one hope
by putting a desire to come back into the hearts of
the interns. please be in prayer that more would
wish to return and that those who are would truly
see God while they are here.

Sorry but i could not wait to say...
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! If you haven't

thanksgiving day
happy thanksgiving!
we went around after our thanksgiving feast and
said one thing we were thankful for. as i glanced around
and saw people who truly WERE thankful, it reminded me
of how we will give thanks for eternity at the banqueting table.
have a great thanksgiving holiday!

FAMILY
I am looking into our living room right now during the
holidays and i can SEE the love in the words, actions,
and in the fact that there are 11 people (not counting
me) in the living room. they are all joking and GLAD
to be around one another. anyways, i want to get back
to all the fun and talk. remember that families are a picture
of the church.

LECRAE
if you do not know already... I LOVE CHRISTIAN RAP!!!
Lecrae and tedashii's new song actions speak louder is
my favorite song right now. it is based off their recent trip
to sudan. sometimes i have to think about things in a song for
them to get in my mind. that is what i do with scripture.
Reach Records does such a great job at putting deep truth into
cool beats. thanks for reading my attempts at blogging!

heaven in truth
miss anne went to be with Jesus this last week.
Her funeral was friday and oh what a blessed time.
yes, it was a time of loss but it was also a great time to see
what it looked like to live for eternity.
please be in prayer for the family. most are not believers.
pray that as they think about her life that they will see the
God who was so special to her and her church.

orphan week
pray for the millions of orphans. ask God if your family should
adopt (it will be a blessing). francis chan said," you should be going
to the hardest of places until God tells you to stay, and you should be
adopting until God flat out tells you no."
PRAY FOR THE ORPHANS
HEAR THEIR CRY!

NEW SCHEDULE
we have woken up at 8:00 or 8:30 each morning.
and me,annie, and aaliyah wake up at 7:30 each
day to cook breakfast. it was hard the first day but
has become easier each day. we get school done so
much faster and it also allows for individual quiet time.
pray we will continue to stick to it even when mom is
ill.

The White Tents
The White Tents
As I walk along the dirt path I hear no wind in the trees,
They were burned by terrorists.
I know because I walk on the charred remains.
To replace the green there are only tents
The white tents of refugees.
My brother is a child forced to bomb and murder,
My sister trembles from hunger.
Our quilt, though scorched by fire,
Is more precious to me than a place to sleep
In the white tent of a refugee.
The words “Dad” and “Mom” are foreign to me,
“Mom” because she fell asleep before I chose to remember
Fell asleep on the trek from Sudan to the Kenyan border;
“Dad” because he has always been away as a soldier,
This is why I pitched the tent by myself,
The white tent of a refugee.
Foreigners wanted to take me to a big tent where the children play.
I guess they did not understand
I am older than my age; Children innocent at my age?
They must not have seen where I sleep,
In the white tent of a refugee.
At night the whole camp wails with the babes;
I cannot cry with them for fear of waking my sister
I cannot sleep with her for fear of dreaming of death.
This is why I don’t sleep, even though I have my tent,
The white tent of a refugee.
Yet whenever I feel like dying I fall asleep
So I can dream about the people I saw asleep,
Asleep in their own blood.
I then wake with a smile on my face for I have my tent,
My white tent of a refugee.

Words to live by
Mrs. Smiley is 99 years old. She is the greatest prayer warrior
I know. Every month she sends $10 to our ministry, and prays
daily for our work here in Tulsa. She said this to my dad a few
years ago on one of his visits. It is words that have kept us going
and always will. Treasure them as I do.
"Everybody needs hope, keep offering everyone hope." -Mrs. Smiley

WE FORGOT HAITI
last sunday, 200 doctors left haiti because hospitals do not
have enough money to stay open and still give aid. 200
doctors left and i had 3 huge meals yesterday. what are we
going to do? they need volunteers! people who will distribute
medical and food supplies to the people. my sister's friend,
Maria, was there just a few weeks ago and said there was
hope but not resources. we have the resources!!! what would
happen if we didn't forget haiti in the next 10 years? you will
have to answer that for yourself.
